Mike Rouse – Head of Regional Development

Mike Rouse joined Parliament Street in 2016. He is an independent consultant, providing help with web, social media marketing and many other IT-based matters to a wide range of clients in the UK and USA. His expertise is based on skills gained during a varied career in the sector, dating back to the late-1990s.

Born and raised on a working-class estate in Coventry in the West Midlands, Mike is familar with the ever-changing face of the Midlands as it grows in international stature based on a  manufacturing and automotive industry that is constantly in a state of flux and reinvention.

The West Midlands is an important engine for economic growth for the whole of the UK. As the West Midlands Combined Authority begins to take shape, and a new mayor is elected for an area second only to Greater London there are massive opportunities ahead in all sectors.

Mike has good experience in the public sector, having worked as a Senior Administrator in the NHS and as a contractor to the Skills Funding Agency in a web-based capacity. He has also worked for a major IT company, a fleet management software startup, a financial services software house, a major aerospace and engineering company, and a software house providing apps to the social housing sector.
