Steven George-Hilley – Head of Events

Steven George-Hilley is Head of Events for Parliament Street joining soon after its inception in 2012. Since then he has spearheaded our technology campaign highlighting the importance of technology to improving our public services. 

Steven has represented Parliament Street in a number of high profile national and broadcast slots including BBC Radio 4 with Edward Stourton,  ITV’s Daybreak programme, The Mirror, Daily Mail, The Evening Standard, BBC, The Metro, The Daily Telegraph and The Guardian.

Steven is in charge of report and content creation for Parliament Street and regularly builds and delivers detailed reports into technology trends and social insights.

Steven has also written a number of pieces of research for Parliament Street including on Revenge Pornography and the use of BYOD in Local Government.  He also wrote the chapter on giving public services a tech injection in our 2015 book Smart Government. His areas of interest include the growth and development of London’s Tech City hub, public sector IT strategy and B2B enterprise IT solutions. He is heavily involved in charity and fundraising work in Africa, with Civil Society magazine covering is work with The Glove Project in The Gambia.
