Clare has a passion for international aid projects, supporting African countries with volunteer work in Kenya, the Street Child Project in Sierra Leone and The Glove Project in The Gambia. In January 2014, Clare launched a campaign in The Sunday Telegraph calling for more protection for Christian leaders against violent attacks. Coverage also appeared in The Times newspaper and other international news outlets.
