STAFF at Britain’s biggest police force have lost more than 1,000 electronic devices in the past five years, figures reveal.
Some 24 laptops, 172 BlackBerrys and 251 handheld PCs were mislaid by Met Police workers — while 713 mobiles were lost or stolen.
Think tank Parliament Street yesterday warned of a potential security breach. But the Met said data is always protected when devices go missing.
