The Big Mental Health Debate 2018: All Voices Heard on Mental Health

This March, Parliament Street will be doing our Big Mental Health Debate. This is an extremely important event to really hear the voices of everyone on mental health. We will have representatives from all the UK’s major parties:

Labour Party: Luciana Berger MP

Conservative Party: TBC

Liberal Democrats: Baroness Jolly

Scottish National Party: Lisa Cameron MP

This event is not just about hearing the voices of politicians, we want to hear from you.

There is two ways in which you can get involved:

  1. Attending the event on the 21st March in the House of Commons. You will have the opportunity to ask questions during the debate. It’s your time to quiz your parliamentarians on mental health. The event is free so we can include all voices. Tickets are free so that we can include all voices. Mental health affects us all. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/big-mental-health-discussion-tickets-43143094156?utm-medium=discovery&utm-campaign=social&utm-content=attendeeshare&aff=escb&utm-source=cp&utm-term=listing
  2. From today, you will be able to email me all of your questions if you are not able to attend the event in March. We will also be opening up questions to be asked on Facebook and Twitter.

If you would like to email a question to Parliament Street, please email myself at danny.bowman@parliamentstreet.org.

You can find Parliament Street on Twitter and Facebook. If you would like to submit a question on these outlets.

All of your questions and comments will be included in Parliament Streets Big Mental Health Report paper to be released in June 2018.

I am so proud as mental health spokesperson for Parliament Street and a former sufferer of mental illness, that we can hold an event like this to truly address this issue.

Mental health is one of the biggest issues of our generation and we at Parliament Street want to hear everyone’s voices. This is your chance to make a difference at the higher level.
