Parliament Street speaks to John Mills

Parliament Street’s Christopher Herman speaks to John Mills, Founder and Chairman of JML, the consumer goods company.

John is a long standing Labour Party member, having served almost continuously on Camden Borough Council from 1971 to 2006. He is the Chairman of both Labour Leave and Labour Future.

He was also a Co-Chairman of  Business for Britain and between 1985 and 1987, he was Deputy Chairman of the London Docklands Development Corporation (LDDC), tasked to regenerate the depressed Docklands area of east London. Over its 18-year existence, the LDDC was responsible for regenerating the areas of Newham, Tower Hamlets and Southwark, and creating 120,000 new jobs.
